Hair inspo!

22 May

I’ve been thinking about getting my hair cut before I head back to the US. I have a general idea what I want but I’m in need of opinions. Sometimes I have a hard time knowing what will actually look good on me.

Anyways, this is my idea:

I’m thinking about trying the front fringe with the shaved sides. Would those even look good together? It’s so scary to think about!

Do you guys think I should do it? I guess I could try wigs if I don’t like the way it turns out… <.<

Are you willing to help?

21 May

I really want to draw some attention to something I was involved in today. My wonderful friend Sabrina knows a man who is suffering with a lot of things right now. She gives some detail here. This man could really use any help he can get! He has lung cancer and will more than likely be homeless tomorrow morning. Sabrina has set up a paypal account that goes towards helping him with recovery and survival in this cruel world. If anyone is willing to help, even just a little bit, please go to this page and donate whatever you can! He’ll appreciate anything but he deserves a lot! I gave him $5, along with another friend, and he started crying he was so happy.

So readers, spare some extra money. I know most of us can cut out just one purchase and have that money go to this man. Please help, as much as you can!

What to do? What to say?

20 May

I really, really, really want to write a post about all the frustrations I feel around one person but I don’t want it to

  1. get back to the person.
  2. offend anyone .

“If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”

In other news, my glasses broke in two earlier this week. I ordered a cheap, new pair just the other day but for now, they’re super glued together and taped for extra protection. xD I’m hoping to get a nicer pair once I’m back in the US and covered with my mum’s insurance! We’ll see what happens.

I’m worried about what to do with Louie while I’m gone. Or when I get back. I just… I can’t trust Daniel’s mum with him. She does ridiculous things and doesn’t take care of his health. His sister only uses him for cuddles. Daniel barely knows how to take care of animals, although I’ve taught him a lot. I’ve thought about possibly giving him to someone else but it’s hard to tell if they’d treat him any better. He is treated really well here . So well. Spoiled well. Better than the humans in this house, well (by one person). I’m the only person who’s really taking care of his health. No one else knows how to, it seems. So, I just… what should I do? Should I just leave it be? Test the waters? See how well things go while Daniel and I are away? Or should I find him another place? I told Daniel I’d really like it if we talked to his mum and let her know that she needs to learn how to take care of certain things or we might have to give him to someone else… or do something drastic.

It’s quite possible that all the different insanity in this house is making me crazier.

-sigh-

Why do I even have a blog?

18 May

I’m never motivated to write.
When I want to write about something that upset me, I forget because I’m not in the same mindset.
And my mind is rushing when I’m in that mindset so I can’t think straight enough to write a coherent post.

I could change this into a theme blog, for fashion, or crafts or something… but there’s already so many of those.
I just… I don’t see the point of this things anymore.

And with the joint blog. Daniel and I haven’t updated it since before our trip. We’ve been barely working on a post about that holiday but we do plan on getting it done.

Maybe you guys should give me something to talk about. What do you want to see me write? Or should I share pictures of my days, maybe? I have no idea.

Declawing and Desexing

19 Sep

Just recently, we had a cat join our small family of four. His name is Louie :) . We got him knowing we’d have to take him to get desexed and I was also thinking about declawing (keep in mind, the last time one of my cats was declawed is when I was under 10… my parents choice. I’ve never heard much of it since then). Being new cat owners, we wanted to research how to go about doing everything. I know declawing is a very controversial in America so I wanted to see what the views are here, in Australia. Turns out, it’s is illegal and viewed as inhumane! I read more into it and now understand why people see it that way. When you get a cat declawed, you’re having almost half of each toe removed. It’s unnecessary and a lot of people do it so the cat doesn’t ruin their things. Some people say it’s selfish for that reason and I can see why. You shouldn’t get a cat if you’re not prepared to have things scratched up! Saying that, I am no longer interested in cutting Louie’s, or any other animals, toes off… unless medically necessary! Update!

4 Aug

I believe I mentioned in my last post that Daniel and I have started a new blog together. That means there will no longer be weekly posts on here. Sorry if that disappoints anyone :O! I will try to post something here periodically, I promise! This will just be personal postings. About ME. Things I’m interested in. Maybe clothes, food, crafts, or all the above… not sure yet :P .

I have something that’s been bugging since before I left ‘The Valley‘ and I just want to let the feelings out. [...]

One month milestone and week four with Daniel.

25 Jul

Well, I’ve made it a month in Australia. I knew I would considering my last visit here was 3 months long :P ! It’s been really great here. Of course there’s been down days but I wouldn’t change anything about it! During the weeks I’ve been doing things to keep my self busy including looking for jobs and visiting Daniel at work. At least one day during the weekend is spent as a ‘date day’. On those days we usually go out all day and enjoy our time together. I’m so thankful we have the weekends to spend so much time together! [...]

Week Three With Daniel.

18 Jul

This week really hasn’t been that eventful. I visited Daniel during lunch early in the week and during that hour we opened my new bank account. When I was at a bus stop on my way to see him, an old Greek lady started talking to me. She was complaining about the ‘cold’ and mentioned how her “village” was always the same temperature throughout the year! I thought it was really funny because she also mentioned that she has been a citizen in AUS for 40 years! The fact that she referred to a village really made me happy. :) In any case, it made me even more interested in Greece. I must travel there one day. [...]

Week two with Daniel (and company).

Today I spent a wonderful day with Daniel, his sister, and his mom. We had lunch at a nice buffet and then got some shopping in. We had to get some ingredients for delicious cookies that we made later in the day. Mmmmm, cookies!Mmmmm! They turned out soo well! They were meant to be plain lemon cookies, with icing but we decided to make them more exciting with RAINBOW (++death) colors! :) Not only do they look good but they taste delicious as well! [...]
